CHANGING YOUR OUTGOING
MAIL SERVER SETTINGS
Due to concerns about
allowing spammers to use our server to relay mail,
we have turned off mail relaying.
You need to use your Internet
provider's SMTP server for OUTGOING mail. You can
and should continue to use ADWEB99.com as your POP
server if ADWEB is storing your mail. This should
not be considered a negative - using your
provider's SMTP server is the most efficient way to
send outbound email. See below for information on
how to change your mail settings.
Macintosh
Settings
In Outlook Express or
Entourage for Macintosh go to Tools menu,
select Accounts and double click on your email
account. Change the SMTP Server setting as shown
below. Please consult your ISP for the correct
setting. See pictures
below for more
details. If you have more than one email account
configured, you should remember to change them all.
For other email programs please check your
program's Help.
Windows
Settings
In Outlook or
Outlook Express for Windows go to Tools
menu, select Accounts, then click the appropriate
mail account, click Properties and then the Servers
tab to change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) setting. See
pictures
below for more
details. If you have more than one email account
configured, you should remember to change them
all.
In Outlook or
Outlook 2000 the settings can be found under
Tools:Services.
For other email programs
please check your program's Help.
If you are using
Bellsouth as your provider, the SMTP server
is mail.bellsouth.net. If you use Earthlink
it is smtp.earthlink.net. Netrox is
smtp.netrox.net. Usually it will be mail. or smtp.
plus your provider's domain name.
If you have any problems call
us at 305.256.7575.
